South Ionian Islands

Greece

1 JULY – 8 JULY 2023

The sailing route in the South Ionian Islands has the most beautiful and most photographed beaches in the whole Greece, such as Myrtos Beach in Kefalonia. Here you find countless bays with calm and crystal clear water only good for all the specific activities of your dream holiday.

The sea is calm, without strong waves and winds and this creates a favorable mood for sailing, relaxing and enjoying the sun. Only good vibes, Tzatziki and Rakomelo! The sea water is warm in July, about 24° C and the air temperature about 30° C. That’s what we call perfection.

Islands

Meganisi

The island’s beaches are secluded and most of them can only be reached by boat. Agios Ioannis, Spilia and Barbarezou are the most popular beaches of Meganisi.

Vathy, where the port of Meganisi also lies, is the most picturesque village of the island. Stroll around the beach promenade in Vathy, taste the local delicacies at one of the many fish taverns… Adapt yourself to the slow rhythm of the island!

Kefalonia

The largest and most famous island in the group. Here we find one of the most photographed beaches in Greece, Myrtos Beach but also caves, castles, monasteries. Ready to explore? The island will impress us with huge olive groves, being an ideal destination for hiking. There are many deserted beaches, with clear water and fishing villages.

Kastos

The largest and most famous island in the group. Here we find one of the most photographed beaches in Greece, Myrtos Beach but also caves, castles, monasteries. Ready to explore? The island will impress us with huge olive groves, being an ideal destination for hiking. There are many deserted beaches, with clear water and fishing villages.

Ithaka

Although it is very close to Kefalonia, Ithaka has kept its mysterious atmosphere  and so we can enjoy the beauty and the tradition of the island. Fortunately Ithaka has not been yet discovered by many tourists. Just ejoy a quiet evening, wandering around the narrow streets with small shops and greek tavernas and enjoy the moment. There are also many deserted bays perfect for swimming and snorkeling.

Kalamos

This island is actually the top of a majestic underwater mountain covered with pine forests. The little port of Kalamos is very entertaining, there are many taverna’s and cafes for us to choose from. On the island there are all kinds of small deserted sandy and pebble beaches with turquoise and crystal clear water.
